Cardsup Greetings Opens a Major Online Portal for Illustrators, Artists and Designers

Vancouver, BC January 26, 2005

Cardsup Greetings Ltd, a full-service multimedia company from Vancouver, BC has announced the launch of their new project BeArtist.com, a major online portal for illustrators and artists. Its aim is to become the single reference site artists will ever need if they want to know how to build a successful career by selling, publishing and licensing their work more often, for more money. It also allows the
artists to post their work in specially designed galleries, making the site the only place on the internet that offers both exposure and reference information to the artist.

The site, according to Vlad Kolarov, founder and principle of Cardsup.com, will give freelance artists, illustrators, animators and designers the opportunity to connect with art directors and sell their work directly. It will help artists find new markets fast, attractively display their work in special galleries and get them in touch with art directors that post their project requests.

To promote the launch, Kolarov is waiving the $100 one-year subscription fee for posting artwork on the site's gallery for qualified artists. The company is researching the best artists and illustrators on the net, who will receive the "Amazing Artist" award. The site also offers a Free Trial period.

"Finding new buyers and establishing a strong client base is one of the most important aspects of building a successful artistic career." says Vlad Kolarov, who is a freelance humorous illustrator and cartoonist himself. "We know how hard and time consuming that is. Our goal is to save the artists the time and effort they would need to invest into researching the markets if they go about it the usual way."

BeArtist.com has an enormous database of over 8,000 completely updated market listing and industry contacts in USA, Canada and Europe, including such hard to find information as art director names, guidelines for getting in touch, type of work desired, pay rates, product specialties, web site and email addresses and more. The listings include over 1000 Magazines, 800 + Greeting Card Companies, 2000 + Advertising Companies, 1000 + Book Publishers, Art Representatives, Licensing Companies, and many more. It also has a Forum where members can discuss business issues, and a section where Art Directors can post projects and get bids from artists.

"We bring the artists to the markets, so they can focus on the actual process of creating art, selling more and developing a more successful business." says Kolarov, who has been freelancing since 1989. "BeArtist.com connects artists and prospective employers, as well as provides information on almost all aspects of establishing a successful career as a freelance artist."
